Brand Identity, Visual System

Making a debugging tool feel alive, not clinical.
Replay IQ builds session-replay and time-travel debugging tools, software that lets teams watch exactly what a user did before something broke. It's a category that usually looks the same everywhere: navy dashboards, corporate blues, zero personality. Replay IQ wanted to be the exception, a brand that felt as sharp and alive as the moment it's built to catch.

Debugging tools live in a category obsessed with looking "serious", dark UIs, safe blues, interchangeable wordmarks. That sameness means every player blends into the next, and it undersells what the product actually does. Replay IQ exists to catch the human moments behind a bug: the rage click, the dead click, the hesitation before someone gives up. A cold, faceless identity would work against that story instead of telling it.

I built the identity around one idea: the logomark is a rewind loop, disguised as the "IQ" in the wordmark, a literal nod to what the product does, replaying a moment back, turned into typography instead of a bolted-on icon. Around it, a palette of near-black, electric violet, neon lime, and burnt orange gives the brand energy and edge without losing technical credibility.

The palette does double duty. Near-black keeps the system grounded and legible in a dev-tool context, while violet and lime signal something faster and more alive, closer to the feeling of catching a bug in real time than reading a log file. Nunito's rounded forms soften what could be a very sharp, technical mark, making the brand approachable without going soft. Every touchpoint, signage, app icon, product surfaces, carries the same loop motif, so the brand reads as one continuous idea rather than a logo plus decoration.
The result is a system that holds its own from a boardroom sign down to a phone-sized app icon, distinct enough to stand out in a sea of navy dashboards, and unmistakably about what the product does.
